EL DÍA DE LA MADRE

Consejo de los Ángeles: “Ángeles ... aquí en la Tierra los llamamos madres”

La citada canción fue típica de la alabanza sentimental a la madre que predominó en la primera parte de nuestro siglo, cuando se instauró el Día de la Madre. Se utilizaban las tarjetas decoradas, los corazones y las flores para felicitar a las madres, para consternación de la inventora del día, Anna M. Jarvis, a quien no le gustó que su intento original – recordarnos la importancia de nuestras madres y animarnos a tratarlas con amor y respeto todos los días del año – se convirtiera en una fiesta trivial y comercializada, hasta el punto de sustituir una auténtica relación significativa por la simple tarjeta de felicitación. Los ángeles son las madres ideales, porque nos aman incondicionalmente. Nuestras madres no son ángeles, por tanto, no debemos exigírselo; debemos amarlas y valorarlas tal como son. Si no hemos tenido una madre adecuada en nuestra vida, siempre podemos recurrir a los ángeles para hallar consuelo y la ayuda que ella fue incapaz de darnos.

Dedica el día de hoy a pensar en las cualidades asociadas a la madre ideal. Si tu madre vive aún, trata de agasajarla en su día. No le envíes una tarjeta o un ramo de flores, ofrécele el maravilloso regalo de la comprensión y tu amor incondicional. Si ya no está contigo, envíaselo en espíritu y muestra tu gratitud hacia ella.

The above song was typical of the sentimental praise the mother who dominated the first part of this century, when it established the Mother's Day. Decorated cards were used, hearts and flowers to congratulate the mothers, to the dismay of the inventor of the day, Anna M. Jarvis, who did not like his original intent - a reminder of the importance of our mothers and encourage us to treat them with love and respect every day of the year –became trivial and marketed a party to the point of replacing a real meaningful relationship for the simple greeting card. Angels are ideal mothers, because they love us unconditionally. Our mothers are not angels, therefore, we should not demand it, we love them and value them as they are. If we have not had a proper mother in our lives, we can always resort to the angels for comfort and support that she was unable to give.

Dedicate this day to think about the qualities associated with the ideal mother. If your mother is still alive, love her and take care of her this day. Do not send a card or a bouquet of flowers, offer the wonderful gift of your unconditional love and understanding. If it is not with you, send it in spirit and show your gratitude towards it.
